"Just great!", Makensie hollers at an empty office. "I leave for a few weeks, come back...and I'm evicted"

She slams the door to her empty office, and walks down stairs. There she finds a handsome gentleman waiting for her.

"Don't worry, Ms Brewer. You can't be held down for long. You can start again, and you will", he said, in a deep toned voice. "But maybe, you should rebuild yourself first. I've been looking at your finances...."

Makensie fumed, saying, "I know exactly where the hell I'm at with my finances, Conrad. You also don't get to tell ME what to do, when I'M the one writing YOUR check each week"

"You won't be writing it for long, if you dont get your act together", Conrad said, smiling...knowing that he can get away with talking as he does to her, because not only is he her money manager, and chauffeur...he is also her romantic partner.

Makensie walked off briskly, obviously very angry.

One way or the other, she was going to get re-established in Sleuthville.

It won't be long, she thought, as she threw herself into the back seat of her car, as Conrad came out with his cocky swagger, and entered the drivers seat.

"Tell me, MS Brewer. Where shall I be taking you?", he said, looking into the rearview mirror.

Makensie glared at him, saying, "I hope you realize that I know how to keep work and personal life seperate, and if you don't change that smart ass expression on your face, I will fire you so fast, you won't know what hit you, and you will be cleaning floors for a living. Would you like that....DEAR?"

He smiled, saying, "Now now, don't be getting hostile. I was simply telling you to get yourself together"

She ignored him, staring out the window, as he started the car up, and drove away.

Time to start all over.........again.
